When the electricity grid is suddenly overloaded, for example due to a cable fault, there is a need to quickly reduce consumption. Alternatively, it is neccesary to always have expensive reserve capacity available, in the electricity grid. So it can be a pretty valuable service, if Monta can quickly stop many charging sessions, for a short while. This service can generate income for Monta, provided Monta expose a secure API allowing external control, within agreed limits.
Of course, the user also needs to be presented with a choice of opting out.

True Energy now offers compensations. When true enegy adds support for wallbox i Will move, unless monta soon supports something similar.

Hi Kristian. We can't offer big battery anytime soon. We think its exciting, but still too small a use case to make a business on it. True energy does not offer tax refund
