I had been experiencing weird issues with the app, because I didn't have the latest version. For some reason, my iPhone had held on some outdated version without telling me; I saw in other apps, that you can get a notification in the app interface informing you that you're not at the latest version with a link to the App store to update. That would be very helpful!
